Forever

Gosh. I haven't written anything in forever! I just haven't been taking pictures (I'm not a picture taking person), and I feel like I can't just post something with all writing. Isn't that boring? I know that I don't like looking at posts like that, so I try not to do that. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be one of those.

Anyway, since the year is almost over (how crazy!) I'm going to go over some stuff that I loved this month, and this year, if I can remember.

Hereeeee we goo!

December:
1. My last month of my first semester as a freshman in college! (that's a mouthful!). I was so happy when finals were over, though not so happy with the exam grades. Despite that, my final grades were great!
2. I got to come home for break! It's been so nice sitting at home doing nothing, basically.
3. Christmas! I had such a wonderful Christmas with my family. The Christmas present I received was definitely my iPad 2. I was so surprised because I wanted one, but didn't ask for it due to the outrageous cost. But, my brother and I received one each anyway. I am so grateful and blessed.

2011:
1. I graduated high school! On May 20, 2011, I officially became a high school grad!
2. Summer. I got a job working at Burger King. I hated it and loved it at the same time. I worked the drive-thru and let me tell you, it was stressful. Haha.
3. On June 13, 2011, I broke my foot. I ended up with three stress fractures on the first, third, and fourth metatarsals and sprained and tore the ligaments that run across the top of your midfoot. I got to spend 7-8 glorious weeks on crutches...
4. 2 weeks after I broke it, my senior recital came. I had to sit in the audience and bawled my eyes out when my closest friends did my solo for me. I still cry when I see it.
5. We spent a week in California. It was so nice spending the time in the sun on the beach. We also went to Sea World, one of my favorite places.
6.. August came around and my cast came off. I also started college! It was a whirlwind beginning. So much change and so much to get used to.
7. I had some roommate issues, but they were resolved in about a month or so. Not too bad. A new roommate moved in, and we live in peaceful cooperation. It's wonderful. (:
8. Midterms came and went, and I aced them all!

That's pretty much how my year was. I'm sure I'm forgetting so many other things, but those were the big things that I can remember.

I hope you all had a blessed and wonderful 2011! Hopefully in my next post I'll have some pictures for you guys. I'm trying to get some good shots of my Christmas tree, but it's hard.

Have a safe and happy New Year's Eve, and we'll meet again in 2012!!!!

Love,
Rachel
