Quick Update

Hi guys! So this is going to be super quick and probably not that exciting. Haha. 

I know I haven't posted in forever, so I'm just going to do a quick update about what's been going on with me lately! (Hopefully there'll be some pictures, too!)

College so far has been so amazing. I only have 4 weeks left! (that's including finals week). I think the 4.0 that I was shooting for is going to happen, and I'm so proud of myself for that! I personally think this is a big accomplishment because no one ever said that college was easy, and earning a 4.0, especially freshman year!, is such a huge deal, at least for me anyway. I love all of my classes. They're all so interesting! (I'll do a post about my major also!) I love my major. It's something that genuinely interests me, and going to class is always so fascinating. There's so much that is changing and growing in the field of Public Health. I know this is definitely the right major for me because I always come out of class feeling inspired and wanting to take on the world. If that's not a sign that you're in the right field for you, then I don't know what is! 

As far as extra stuff goes, I've just been participating in a club that I am totally in love with (it's called Camp Wildcat). You can check out the website for more information, too. It's an entirely student run, non-profit organization that is dedicated to taking Tucson's at-risk youth on weekend long camping trips. We promote college and success as attainable goals. It's really rewarding, and the camping is free! I love it because you get to work with kids, and seeing their faces light up on their first day in nature and seeing them engage in the activities that we plan is really something that melts my heart. 

I've also been helping out with an acappella group on campus. My brother is the president, so I've been helping them out with choreography. We have an acappella festival coming up this weekend, so we're gearing up for that! It's going to be so cool. I've been working on choreography for that lately. 

Other than that, I've just been studying and working on getting all my homework done. 4 WEEKS! I can't believe it. Time sure does fly, especially when you're doing something that you love. (:

I also have a new youtube channel! It's rkwhisper. Feel free to check it out! It's supposed to be an ASMR/relaxation channel. This is my first ever attempt at these types of videos, so it may still be a bit rough.
