Getting in Shape, For Me
Hi guys!
I know it's been ages since I've last posted, but I have been so crazy busy with school and other things, that I've just forgotten! I'm also trying to think of interesting things to blog about, my life is actually very boring. Haha.
Here's a post for you about something that I've been thinking about for a while now.
I've never been too crazy about my body. Sure, I've danced
for 15 years of my life, but there was always something that I just never
liked. Frankly, I've always hated my stomach, you know the spot. The one right
under your belly button that never seems to flatten out no matter what you try.
Just recently, I've decided that I want to try to start
working out a bit in my room and eat healthier. I’ve tried to do this on and
off for the past year and a half, but it’s always fallen through because I always
have an excuse.
“I’m too tired.”
“I’ll do twice as much tomorrow.”
“I have dance tomorrow, I’ll be fine.”
“I have too much homework.”
But you know what I have discovered? I feel amazing after I “work
out” (I do 200-300 sit-ups, for now). I love the feeling of my abs and arms
burning after I’m done. It makes me feel accomplished, like I have achieved
something amazing, because I have.
I’m very motivated to keep up with this because I’m tired of
looking in the mirror and hating what I see. I don’t know what’s going to
happen, if anything, but I do know that I’m going to feel so much better.
So let’s keep a counter going to see how far we can go.
When: 11-27-12
What: sit ups,
maybe push-ups
How many: none,
yet. I’m shooting for 300 sit-ups, 25 push-ups because I’m a wimp.
Also, for any of you who do home workouts, when is the best
time to do it? I do it right before I go to bed, or in the evening to take a
break from homework.
What do you think?
