How Do You Organize Your Planner?

So a few weeks ago, I think, I wrote about getting a planner for school- high school or college, it will come in handy in both stages of education! Hopefully, you've decided to invest and start on a planner journey.

Now that you (possibly) have one, how in the heck do you organize it?

That's the beauty. There are endless options for how you want to organize your planner. It is yours after all.

Here's how I organize mine. I'm a very color oriented person, so there are always lots of colors happening.

Here's the front. It's just plain black leather.

You can see the little magnetic clasp on the front there. I believe it was made by Franklin Covey. I don't know the dimensions, but it's smaller than a standard piece of paper. The pages are page-a-day style.

Here's the monthly view. I write in birthdays, exams, quizzes, etc. on the monthly portion. I like to be able to see the month and see what's coming up that I need to be aware of.

Here's the day to day view. On the right, as you can see, is where I write down things that I need to do that day, or things that are due on that day. I'll also write down times when things are due. On the left, I use that little schedule for the first week or so, just to keep me on track. The writing on the far left is my classes. They are written in the colors that I will use to write down assignments and exams and such on the right side. I write in my classes on the far left, again, probably for about the first week, until I remember which is which.

Here's what the weekends look like. Nothing fancy. I write a to do list on the right side, again, just to keep myself on top of things. I generally will have homework and stuff on the weekends.

These are the markers I use. they're Staedtler, fine tip markers. They're a triangle shape which I love. It makes them sit really nicely in your hand. The one thing I do not like about these is that the tip goes "flat" really quickly. This makes the ink strokes super thick, and I like a thinner line. I also use these to take notes in class, so that's part of the reason why they got flat so quickly.

That's a quick version of how I organize my planner. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! If you use a planner, how do you organize it?

Au revoir,
Rachel
