Feeling Romantic

My roommate and I just watched Pride and Prejudice, which happens to be one of my favorite books and movies of all time. I've read the book so many times, and I've seen many different screen portrayals of the story. It never gets old.
First of all, I absolutely love that time period. 18th century England is just so captivating to me. I don't know if I would have done well in that era, but I love it nonetheless. It's just so fascinating, and the movie just spurs my addiction.
Second of all, the storyline is one of the best, I think. Everything has such meaning, and seeing it in any visual adaptation just makes certain moments more poignant. I especially love the 2005 adaptation with Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen. Although the movie cuts out parts from the book, as happens with book to movie adaptations, I think Joe Wright did a fabulous job giving all the right moments importance.
I don't know what it is about this particular film that I love so much. The actors did a fabulous job with their characters, the costumes are beautiful, and the landscape is even more breathtaking. That being said, the storyline is the draw. It never fails to make me feel all mushy inside.
It's such a beautiful love story, that you can't help but want that as well, even though I don't think anything will be as beautiful without the 18th Century English countryside as your backdrop.
