Happy Birthday, Mom!
Today is my mom's birthday!
I know I often talk about how rocky our relationship can be, but my mom is great! We may not be best friends, but I know that I can count on her if I ever need advice or just support.
In the beginning, my mother would stay up with me all night. This was right after they got me, and I was still adjusting to the United States. This is where our relationship really began.
As I got a little older, my mom was my biggest fan and hugest supporter. She was at every single dance performance I ever had. She dedicated HOURS of her time helping me get my costumes in order, driving me to and from class and rehearsals. She used to sit for hours and hours at every competition or recital that I ever had, unless she couldn't be there. She travelled with me to every dance competition outside of Arizona.
In school, she would encourage me to do my best, as in everything. She loved to help me with projects and other activities. She used to come to my school performances- be it for a class, orchestra, or an honor's award ceremony.
My mom has been supporting me through all of my activities through the years. As I've gotten older, I sometimes regret that our relationship has changed so much. I know she still supports me in my decisions and always will, even if our viewpoints drastically differ (they usually do).
I love you, mom! Thanks for being everything you've been and done for me!
xx,
